rjtt说的对，一班车跑了长途以后，都会有很疲倦的感觉，声音上也会疲倦一些。跑这么远值得吗？

Ask the buyer come to you. If he asked you to deliver the car to Birmingham, do it after sale is agreed. 400M is nothing for a 10 year Golf, provided it has been properly looked after. Have you counted those VWs on major motorways during weekends? Lots of people are doing it on a weekly basis.

A Golf needs a full service every 12 months or 10k miles. There's not a lot of sense to do it only before a long trip, damages could have been done by then. A service usually costs between £100-200. How much are you selling the car for? A full MOT could cost less and sell the car quicker than service. However, before you set off your journey, it will be advisable to do a careful routine check, i.e. tyres, oil, coolant, screen wash and lights etc.

To be sure, get yourself a breakdown cover from the major providers, such as AA, Rac and Greenflag. It could turn out to be a life saver.

我在99年的时候开了一个nissan 110000英里的，8天去了3次苏格兰，从伯明翰走，老兄还要比么？

鄙人最长一次开车是20小时1500公里。开的是FORD TRANSIT VAN

伦敦－圣安德鲁斯－伦敦。

1500km in 20 hours is quite extreme experience for non-professional drivers. Mine record is doing 1.5k miles in 4 days, or 96 hours. I travelled from Yorkshire to Scotland and back on a Renault Scenic. The roads in Scotland were quite snowy. We visited Edinburgh, Inverness, Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, and Fort William. On our way back, Glasgow and Loch Lomond. It was such a compact journey, a large portion of which was on the road. Fortunate for my travelmates, since they'd got extraordinary views in the car. Unfortunate for me though, because I was the only driver, I had to concentrate on the road. Therefore when we came back and they showed me the photoes they took, I was so regret that I'd missed so many beautiful places. A great deal of B roads on Isle of Skye are single track road full of steep bends and slopes. Driving on that was quite an experience. After that, motorways just looked too easy to accumulate mileage on.

It's going off topic now. But anyway, it's a real test of one's fortitude, perseverance and stamina, not a safe way to drive though.

鄙人也开过一次长的，沈阳-北京-石家庄-上海。虽然不是一气呵成，不过也是在1个星期以内。到了上海我整个人见到车就像吐。

我一个人从拉夫堡开到newcastle,然后再从newcastle开到london
那时候拿到驾照没多久,不敢开快,从newcastle到伦敦开了8个小时,中间停了三次还不知是四次.
前年又开过一次从伦敦来回york.
另的就没什么长途经验了.

1500公里20个小时开，是有点疯狂，但是没时间睡觉，不过经常停个5分钟REFRESH一下。

我觉得长途之前做个service比较好.
我开93年的fiat uno 1.0一个星期左右,走英格兰,去威尔士,苏格兰,过海又去了北爱,一路见到不少辆车出了问题停在路边,不是都是老车,出远门之前让人家帮你看看,放心.

油，水，轮胎气压，出发前检查好，备胎，千斤顶，保险丝，拉车线索，电源连接线（接他人蓄电池用的），基本工具备上，400英里没什么，我的车子15万英里，跑曼城连续好几回，什么事都没有。

哈哈，距离不近呀。我开过一次单人驾驶的北京-沈阳-北京，在沈阳停留了半小时（取东西）。回到北京狂睡一周。

大家还是不要比谁开的时间长了吧。我这个纪录是目前我自己的纪录，很难打破。累不累只有自己知道。我不敢说我开车是PROF..在这里还是希望大家能安全，不要疲劳驾驶，如果实在避免不了，一定要睡饱了再出门，路上一定要有吃的，喝的。喝的为主，因为这样的你就不得不休息。
