That is it. The LAND REGISTRY is the confirmation of your ownership. it doesn't matter if it is a copy or the original. The record in the LAND REGISTRY is the final.

it';s the paper from land registry and if you are still paying mortgage the house is under the joint names of the bank lending you money and you; it will change after you pay off your mortgage and you then own the property outright.

The deed is the piece of paper you would need to get to prove it is your house. You will not get until you pay off the mortgage. My British friend told me that you need to save your deed in a bank in order to secure it once you get it.
