I'm on a british company's global graduat scheme. It's a two years programme too and provides high-calibre graduates with the opportunity to gain experience by working for different IMI companies in various placements and countries. Bascally, I have to complete four Placements in different countries and different disciplines within two years. That is what attract me the most! How amazing is that!
My advice is stop complain and act on it. Becasue during the two years, it's not about how they teach/mentor you, it's about how to push yourself, to be more active. Once there is sth. you insterested to do, come forwardly and ask for it! Don't just sit there and wait. I'm sure your manager will see the sparlks in you once he/she sees the ability you have!
BTW, my main role for this project now is marketing coordinator. Honestly, I have a lot of work load but it's exciting! I organised exhibitions/seminars, conduct marketing survey analysie, involoved in launching new product, printing marketing promotion stuffs, sourcing gifts etc. I have always come forward when I see a chance to shine.
