Hi, thanks for your reply!
I've done some homework and shopped around, finally go with this lender. I already have my AIP. Since my offer has been accepted, I need to submit the complete application. Now waiting for the credit check for final approval.
I've phoned the lender this afternoon, and confirmed that electoral status won't affect their credit check. A funny thing is, the operator said he isn't on the electoral roll either,
I think I should be alright. Keep fingers crossed!

1. It is not necessary to be on electoral roll for a mortgage application. We had our first mortgage offered by Nationwide around 3 years ago when my wife and I were not on the electoral roll.
2. Being on electoral roll gives you higher credit scores. Very simple if you are a British citizen you are less risky to run away.
3. It is better to find a mortgage advisor to help you if you are a first time buyer and never applied for a mortgage before. A mortgage advisor gets commission fees from lenders not from you. But you should do some rates and fees home work first.
