As I know, working for BBC, unless it's an important role or high lever position, generally it's not as well paid as some independant Ad. agencies or production houses. It's like CCTV in China. They know people need experience working for a "big" name especially junior people, and they can't afford so many senior position as such a big body any way. They normally hire senior people as contractors and freelancers based on projects. I had been offered positions from CCTV and BBC before, but I never worked there because they pay me less than other agencies, maybe I am not good enough for them paying me good money yet. :-) So anyone want to work for BBC, go ahead...... it's not difficult at all.
quite right. the senior contractor salary can be as high as 380/day. at least i think it is quite high in this industry. but generally speaking bbc's salary pack is not very impressive. are you in technical role or editorial?
