父母上个月来到英国探亲，拿的是六个月visitor visa, 母亲因患有糖尿病一直需要注射胰岛素，现已打完，不知道应该到哪里开药?
我是在英国读书的学生，几年前在GP 注册过可从来没去过，而且也早不在注册的那个城市居住了，不知道像我们这种情况应该是找GP还是医院？ 另外像我父母如果在这里看病或是开药的话需要交费吗？

直接去找GP或者私人诊所都可以吧？

但免费恐怕比较难，除非你能找个糊涂的GP给她注册成NHS，就可以免费拿药了，只要每次交6镑多的处方费

我们当地（威尔士）的gp也可以看私人病症，而且明码标价，我记得看下医生是12磅左右一次。 （威尔士的nhs处方都不收钱哦， ）

有的地方如果你的签证在1年以上可以注册nhs的，不过具体还要看各个诊所的具体要求，大不了多问问呗。一般好像不能免费。

i have no idea how serious this is, but unless you can justify this as life threatening emergency, it's not going to be free... and even if you go private, the doctor won't subscribe you insulin without proper blood or whatever test and that takes time. I think it's probably not a bad idea that you EMS some medication from china if you are sure of the diagnosis

u can register urself first at local gp, ask them if ur parents can be register as temp. residence as well. explain ur mum needs to have her diabetes checked out and insulin prescribed, ps: take the insulin pen and box which should show the type of insulin ur mum needs. you will need to pay money to be seen by a doc, which is refundable after ur registration come through. u probably need to pay 6 pound sth each item they prescribe for u or ur mum. go to A&E at local hospital if ur mum's condition is really serious. hope the info helps
