可以领养，RSPCA的网站上可以找到离你比较近的中心
我家的两只是从收养中心领养的.
我们也是从cat rescue那样的地方领养的。
俺是在当地的小店里看到的小广告，是免费的，也是母猫生了一堆，没法养了才送人，不过有对领养人的面试。
目前俺家MIMI跟着俺已经2年了，很是不错，所以，留意你居住的附近的小店里的留言板也是个好主意，不能心急，要碰。
ninny说的很对，养动物不能想起来就养，养两天又烦，养了就要负责到底。

As long as you keep your cat indoor, or you stay away from the litter, you will be fine.

If you have already have cats, probably you have to be very careful to co-habit with them. If you are just thinking about to have one, now you have an argument against it.
When you have baby at home, even simplest domestic task could become difficult to do.

It is something you can avoid, like not to be clamped by doors when you go through them
If you would like to try and be careful enough, you wouldn't end up with giving up your cat, but if you are lazy and impatient, anything could be a difficulty, including having and adopting a baby.
