请问各位前辈,我现在合租的house里有一只老鼠,出现在厨房的cooker里,可以跟房东要求立即解约吗?因为我十分害怕老鼠,想本月底立即搬走,但租约还有一个月。老鼠的出现可不可以作为一个终止租房合同的理由?

查合同。

有的合同有写如病虫害由房客所致,房客要承担灭除费用。提前解约当然还要承担违约费用。如果你能证明鼠患不是你造成,那一切都好说,你可以告诉房东老鼠造成健康问题,可以解约。

英国大部分的房子都有老鼠.有老鼠不能成为解除合约的理由.我以前住的地方杀了13只老鼠.哈哈

嘿嘿, 办法是,把老鼠进入你家的渠道找出来,然后封死,这样就没有老鼠啦!!
圣诞节那天我连门都没出,专门办了这一件事情,嘻嘻。

It depends on what type of Rental Agreement you have with the Landlord (person that owns the house). You should check you agreement to see if it mentions "pest control" or "vermin control" In most "Assured Short Hold" Agreements the tenant - (that is you) would be responsible for removing the mice or rats etc. But the landlord is responsible for the maintenance of the property. However if you live above a restaurant or food shop, then you may be able to show that the rats/mice are coming from there.

Generally you should ask your landlord to seal up any holes under the sink, bath (especially around pipes), floorboards or skirting boards. This is where the mice normally come in to the house. Seal up the holes and it will help to keep them out. Your landlord will be responsible for this work.

The cheapest way to get rid of the mice already in your flat is to go to B&Q and pick up some rat boxes. They are little white boxes with a tiny amount of poison in them. They will normally sort the situation out. If a rat goes in the box, simply throw the box away. If you have young children these boxes might not be a good idea. You would need to find some other way of sorting it out.

these things give out noise that only mouse can hear but we cannot.
no body/mouse would want to stay in the horrible noise;)
