Phd studentship: Advanced material development for MEMS/NEMS
A phd studentship is available at the University of Southampton in the area of functional materials development for micro/nano devices. Students in the area of materials, electronics, mechanics and physics would be suitable. It is preferred that the applicants have good undergraduate and/or Master degree records. The postgraduate will potentially have the opportunities to work in the materials research laboratory (SES), the cleanroom (ECS) and Nanomaterial Rapid Prototyping Laboratory (Physics) at different stages of the project, which are all 5* rated research Schools.
The candidates should be highly motivated in the relevant areas with good communication skills. Previous background/experience in any field of materials, MEMS, electronics, mechanics or physics is desirable. A full overseas or EU studentship is available for the successful candidate.
