i am a new grauate ( still waiting for my graduation ceremony), i currently held a IGS visa,
recently, i though when i waiting for my graduation ceremony, why not find a job in uk. ( i was wanted to
go back China after i attend my graduation ceremony).

i am really interest in becoming a buyer, i have a degree in international trade and master in MSc
logistic and optimisation, i was woundering will i qualify to apply a job in buyer with my current qulification.
and i have to be honest about one thing, i hardly have any 'real' work experience. most of job i have was
waitress and staff like that.

please tell me what u think. or if anyone so kindly can give some idea about the job of buyer and i will be really appreciate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.find your closet tesco (actually any shop)
2.walk in
3.put anything into your basket (till you can't handle anymore)
4.checkout at the counter...remember to bring your card as well

If you have been graduated from Portsmouth University, i don't think you can find a good job with your intrernational trade degree even you hold a logistic master degree. i still think you cannot become a buyer just use those qualifications.

I'm a buyer and honestly i didn't know much when I applied, and i'm still learning.
My advise is to understand a bit more about what buyer's job is, and ask yourself if that's sth. you really want to do.
If so, just go for it.

As long as you are CIPS qualified, there are plenty of good procurement jobs around. It's definately a booming market. You'll enjoy it. http://www.supplymanagement.com/

我觉得Graduate Buyer根本就不需要任何的经验，因为你可以在很多种领域里上班，所以你应该先选好你要的领域就能由0开始。
零售业的（超市类型的）？制造业的（轻重工业类型的）？加工业的（轻工业的）？建筑业的（建筑材料，建筑租用材料）？
我自己在建筑业干的（不是Buyer), 我看我同事们(Buyer)，啥都没有就干起Buyer了，然后公司再派他们去上学。
上面有位提到如果你的Internatioanl trade是在Portsmouth完业的，我觉得那也是一门垃圾文凭（很抱歉大家）。不过由于你没经验，你还是可以以它为一个阶石找工，薪水别要求太高。

i have to say the course is not that good, i didn't apply for this course when i apply portsmouth university. after other chinese told me the tution fee of international trade, i decide to change to this course voluntarily. at the end of day, it is the best choice for me as i am not coming from a weathy family. i did hesitate when i make that decision.

what can i say. that is life. i did my best in the master course, i got 68 in my desertation. i will hope my master qualification can compensate my not so good degree. after i graduated, it is also when i find out that sometimes that degree is what the employer want to check out.
