今天见了一个mortgage advisor (不是中介那家的), 让他做mortage的话要收295镑中介费。但是如果从他那里办保险的话就免那个中介费。听他的意思是要从他那儿办life insurance 和building insurance,每样大概各是10到15镑每月。不知道他卖的保险可不可以过一段时间换掉? 我理解life insurance不能随便换,不然以前交的就作废了。是这样吗?
他今天给我看的几个mortgage好像都不要求life insurannce。 这个advisor还是建议我买。

大家的保险是怎么个情况?觉得这个中介怎么样?

mortgage broker收费,的确有收费的,但是这么高的,我还是第一次听说。大部分
broker收取lender 的费用,对你是免费的。你是否应该去找这样的broker?

home insurance是必须买的,费用多少取决于房子及保的家具价值,你自己也是有选择的。不过15镑每个月还是非常好的,同你比起来,我拿到的home insurance就有些太贵了,我准备住进去之后,就换个便宜的。。

关于对该中介的评语,完全取决于他能帮你做多少事,拿到什么样的OFFER,来判定他的收费是否合适。如果拿到的条件还不如你自己找LENDER,那为什么要找中介呢?

我看每个中介用的软件都是一样的,他们的Offer也没有什么区别。 哪里能找到不收我钱的advisor啊? 要不我就买他的保险算了

刚刚收到那个中介发来的:

life insurance to cover both of you in the event of death for £120k is £11.24 per month.
Buildings insurance is £20.50 per month if you take buildings and contents it is £35.45 per month.

另外一个中介给的life £17 p/m, building £15~20 p/m

我办贷款的时候,去见了个中介推荐的 mortgage advisor。她到是不收我钱,说是从银行那里收佣金的。但我后来没有用她,因为我自己去汇丰银行的网站上看,发现利息还要低过她给的。所以楼主不如自己直接和银行联系看看,特别是自己的开户行。我是五月初去搞得,如果早几个星期,barclays 的利息更好。现在利息涨疯了。不过不能不贷,也没办法。

Re fee-free or for-fee mortgage advisor, I think the first thing to check is if the advisor can access the WHOLE market instead of a selection of mortgage products. Normally fee-free advisors only recommend certain mortgages that they can get commission from lenders and as you may understand, it is not entirely for your own interest and you may find better product somewhere else, directly from lenders or even from another advisor. Whole market advisors are normally for a fee but they will get the best deal for you, at least the best among all the products available to advisors. Then here goes the twist. Under current climate some lenders, especially major banks are not offering advisors good products, or no products at all; they would rather offer deals directly from their branch and/or website. Another thing to pay attention to is as far as I know applying through would be very slow at the moment because deals are being withdrawn very often which causes a backlog for the same advisor who has to deal with other people's applications before you.

Life insurance is optional but good to have especially if you are a couple buying togther. A small tip is to have quotes for both of you individually instead of a single cover for both of you. The difference is that you can claim twice for the former and it doesn't cost too much more.

就是啊,昨天去HSBC问了,tracker是5.99, 比advisor给的少了一个点哦。还没有杂七杂八的费用。
不用跟中介折腾了。

同意。 我当时就是自己去银行申请的,比BROKER提供的同一家银行的要便宜,利率也低。银行也说他们这些好的OFFER都不给BROKER 做的。
