“BIG SCREEN OLYMPICS

The BBC is mounting its biggest ever Olympic operation to bring you all the action from Beijing - and we'll be showing the action on our Big Screens across the UK.

In China, they decided to schedule the opening ceremony at 08:08.08pm on the 08/08/08 - some say the Chinese are superstitious! It all happens in China's bustling capital city, and will be relayed to the Big Screens in UK towns and cities daily from 8am until 8pm.
