The title of this forum has somewhat the image of an old serious prof. Well, that's just part of it. The opening of this new forum "Academic Talks" (including "Second Class" and "Thoughs and Ideas") is really a wise move for this whole forum. With the growing number of Chinese student coming to UK, it is possible that, in the near future, we could have a much more senseful "big forum". Within "Academic Talks", we may have Mathematics Forum, Sociology Forum, Methodology Thinking and so many other subjects. Even we could have activities in association with certain institutions, in order to build a mutual communituy, of enthusiasm, creativity and attractiveness.
This is my personal "dream", you may call it. It just seems to me that Chinese are not so good at orgainzing civil institution, partly due to some political and cultural influence. I can't tell the result of this in simple words here.
What is your expectation of this forum? How do you want it to be?

极其中肯！Surely distinctive sub-boards will be more appealing to particular groups. With more participation in this forum, surely we shall sub-catagorise discussions into smaller divisions. Academic life, i think, is the most important part of our life in UK - that's why we come here! We may have some clues of new essay topics from here!
i suggest we should have a sub-catalogue for business and economic study.
