I understand there is no way to cease your excitement except my disappearance. In fact, during the development of the recent incidence I’ve felt harder and harder to be myself on this BBS as I used to be (I don’t mean sexually). Under this circumstance it is unwise for me to stay here for any longer. It is also against my principle (the 1st OF Theory). Therefore, after careful consideration I have decided to leave from LINKCHINESE BBS for an indefinite period.

Automatically I give up my position on the forum of 学术思想和观点. Corleone is a very mature, talented and energetic young guy, he can manage this forum by himself without any difficulty. The reason that I put myself forward to support him at the beginning was purely because I thought we need such a space for more serious and academic discussions/conversations. This has been proven a Waterloo to myself. I will hand over my resignation letter to BM General very shortly.

As one of the oldest members I had fortune to have conversations with many of you on a wide range of topics, from which I’ve learnt many new things/ideas. All these conversations were truly enjoyable although not all of them were conducted in a pleasant manner.

I realised that over past 17 months, I made too many jokes (this is my personal problem). Some of them might be very unpleasant/inadequate to you. I must say that I never had any intention to hurt you to any extent. Here I take my last chance to make my apology to you. I, of course, do not mind anything you have ever said to me, as long as they were jokes.

Finally, I have to say terribly sorry to BMs of Cambridge, Oxford and London BBS boards for all the messes I’ve made. Please remove all my posts if necessary.

It is hoped that this last message from the Old Fish can put your mind at rest.
