what do you compare it for?
also, I think the comparison of
research (PhD study)

MBA is very different.

Actually, not much better than Cambridge on Business Study.

Oxford's overall ranking on this subject was No. 25 in UK last year by Sunday Times. Oxford's research ability is okay, which was rated 5 points (as the same as that of Cambridge).

The Best on this subject is LSE.

the rank of 25 refers to undergraduate rank. I think it is different from graduate rank.

In my view, there are three indexes to refer.
The first, as lao Yu said, is undergraduate rank. I remember Oxford Brooks is just before Oxford.

The second is MBA. I don't think Oxford is outstanding in this field. LBS in internationally famous and Cranfield is quite good.

The third is PhD research. It is hard to evaluate. But Oxford is much social-oriented. The finance group is growing but that has more relations with Dept. of Econ. and Dept. of Maths.

one is Msc in development econmoics, 1-year
another is Msc in Management Research/Industrial relations, 1-year
the third in Mphil in Economics, 2-years

TQ is short for teaching quality, and RA is for research ability. A-Level is used to show the quality of student entry. Cambridge was ranked very low, which is clearly due to missing the A-level figure since a large proportion of students in 2002 were from oversea (many MBA from China), which cannot be measured by UK standards. Otherwise, Cambridge shouldn't be ranked far from Oxford.

On Economics, Cambridge (No.4) is certainly better than Oxford (No. 13), but the Best is UCL.

while LSE is famous in this field.
