I broke my cannon last OCT. and got it repaired in China when I went back to my parents.
suggest, if ur camera included in ur house insurence, u can get it repaired here, if not, maybe it is better to repair that in china.
in my case, I checked with cannon shop in chengdu, they charge RMB 1700 to repair that cus they said I need to change some parts. --in that way, I rather buy a new one, cus mine only cost me 3200 HKD.
anyway, I send the camera to a small camera shop, they got it repaird for me for RMB 300. not bad, isnot it?
