请教各位，umist 38周的宿舍是不是除了暑假都能住? 如果不是en-suite的, 请问它们的公共卫生间怎么样啊? 还有, 如果是self-catering的, 有没有meal plan之类可以偶尔买饭的?在宿舍上网要不要钱? 谢啦!

谢了! 我现在暂定Grosvenor Grope of Halls 的一间, 请问它们的安全状况如何? 公共卫生间有人清洁吗? 还有, umist网站上有没有各个学院的地图? 谢啦!

Grosvenor Group里面除了ronson hall比较烂以外其他都还不错。
bowden court和Street building是Flat形式的， Grosvenor Place是走廊形式， 比较容易受噪音干扰。bowden 的桌子大一些， 床和房间比另外2个稍小。St和GP房间稍大， 桌子就小一些床比普通单人稍宽。
都很安全， 卫生间和厨房每周有cleaner清洁。

为什么Ronson Hall不好? 那Grosvenor Group of Halls 的房间面积大概多大? 房间里能看电视吗? 还有Weston Hall 如何? 谢啦!

Ronson Hall房间小， 而且格局很烂， 住起来很不舒服。
GP和GSB都差不多大， 只是GP有个大窗台， 可以放很多东西， 显的稍大。
GSB房间有天线借口， 其他的没有。
Weston Hall 是En-suite的， 离学校近， 不过个人感觉不是很值的（性价比）

哦,是这样. 我第一个选择是GSP, 不过看申请表上说选了一个就不用再选其他的Grosvenor Group 了, 可是我还要再选两个啊. 我其实就是想找离我的学院近点的,免得走太多路...那Lambert hall怎么样?　安全吗？

离火车站近， 闲杂人等比较多， 安全性还算不错， 其实学校的宿舍都很安全， 还没听说有谁在校内发生什么事的。

那申请表上填写的兴趣爱好有多大用处?

顺便问一句, Grosvenor Group 里的中国学生多吗?
ps: 刚umist的 international officer 跟我说因为我考虑的宿舍都很热门，所以有可能被分到其他的宿舍， 很郁闷呐

I am going to UMIST this September. My 1st choice is Opal Hall. Anyone knows? Is it good? The picture on website seems fine.

Opal hall 很好啊。我去看过房子。不过蛮贵的。而且房子定得很快啊。

Yes, I am thinking of that point, too. if only stay for 38wks, it's acceptable. The MSc programme is for 1 year. Not sure if I can leave around June, and go back in Sept.?

1/ Do I have to stay the whole year, or I can leave in June? (Of course, I have to finish my dissertation by then. )
I will be in Europe, so can go back for the debat if necessary, or even meeting tutor.
2/ Do you know anybody studying MSc International Fashion Retailing? Is the studyload very heavy?
