地址是Frampton Street NW8 8NQ，地铁到Edgware road出站台还要走一会，伦敦一区西北。打电话问了几个中介，附近的房子的确很贵，1居室至少800一个月？这样一算，每月工资将近1/3贡献给英国政府（tax & NI），剩下一半交了房租，剩下还要还银行credit card，如果这样，老婆写完毕业论文赶紧去打工吧 
还是不太明白Relocation allowarance 是怎么给的？如果事后报销，银行帐户里的钱怕是不够一个月房租+deposit。
请你们俩喝广东茶也算包销范围那么，那各位的亲戚朋友都来吧

运气还有，这是个美国公司，公司里的人员各国都有，HR是黑人，techical lead好像是是法国人，不会歧视；公司是startup的公司估计招聘经验也不足。
这次工作好像是从http://www.theitjobboard.com找到的，难得有一个不是中介的vacancy，接到电话说是某公司HR我都很意外。上一次好像是在cwjobs.co.uk上发的。几个网站基本我都用，中介也是，因此常常看到重复的工作。

刚收到soft copy of offer letter, 好长一大堆啊，包括handbook什么的。
relocation allowarance报销放到payroll里的
hardcopy 估计要明、后天才能寄到。

我原来住的房间在edgware road, 超大的房间.只要460, 到tesco走路连3分钟都用不了, 你可以去看看.
搬家費。。4搬家用的。。84用来買房子的。。

Although I am not doing IT I visited this topic from time to time. Just months ago when I saw your post I shared the same feeling with you...for me: it is desperate struggling, dark life...whatever.
I thought of giving up today, actually I have decided to give up just a couple hours before when I was sitting in a pub with a couple of friends.
I just routinely had a look of posts here and I saw your post.
A happy ending of your story really puts hope into my mind. And I know I should not give up, no matter how difficult it might be.
Just a few simple words.
Congratulations again and wish you all the best in your career.

最近忙, 老没上来. 我说的那个房在416A Edgware Road, W2 1ED, 有人关心的话可以去看看. 据我所知我那间房的住客到1月份就结束合同了,会搬走. 但是这个房子是中介的, 那人叫做JAMES, 一个老黑, 其实挺阴险, 要小心. 房子合同是半年一签, 屋里没家具,就张床和沙发, 里面的写字台还是我扛回去的. 基本是不带家具的. 那房子和厨房同一层, 估计原来是living room, 所以超大.
大家谁感兴趣的可以自己去问问还有没有, 电话是02083743030, Highland estates. 说起来跟这个房子没什么关系了,只是很怀念,真大,位置也爽, 估计大家也会喜欢. 只是那中介有时候挺阴, 要和他作斗争.

IT,说到底,好像还是感觉学IT对中国人来说比较好在英国找到工作.其他的对语言要求都很高,比较难啊.
IT 的语言要求更高. C, JAVA, C++,C-sharp,VB, tcl/tk,Cobal, SQL, COM, XML, Pascal...起码自选其三吧 
说认真的, communication skill, social skill is more important than anything else in all kinds of jobs. 并不因为对的是机器就可以把头藏在沙里. (到pay-rise的时候你就知道了.)

How did you know so much about s&s? not many people knew the background of m&c and 2s. People always aksed me the question about 2s gallery, then i had to start the long story from the very begining.

| 真是落伍，以为精华帖子不会经常更新， 今天过来一看，又有新感觉。 我4个月还没找到工作，一个战友钱花光了，悲壮的离开英国。 我拿cfa续签，还要一边学cfa，一边看computer science的paper（为了申请phd) 还要天天上网找工作，看到有什么技术需要学一下，还要看看技术文档。 9月以前找不到，我也回国了 不能再在英国烧钱了 |
不懂，难道你战友是全职找工作？为什么不一边找工作一边打工呢？即使只是麦当劳，一周工作3天也能勉强维持生活啊。。。我的意思是说钱花光了应该是借口，除非是签证到期或者自己丧失信心了才会悲壮的离开英国。
