北京时间10月6日21点，2004年亚洲青年足球锦标赛半决赛第二场比赛在吉隆坡保怡体育场进行，中国队对阵叙利亚队。本来伊拉克队被人们一致看好，中国队也做好了半决赛同其展开争夺的打算，不过叙利亚爆出冷门，1-0将伊拉克淘汰出局。经过90分钟激战，中国队凭借小将朱挺的进球1-0战胜叙利亚队，晋级决赛。而率先进球的一场半决赛中，卫冕冠军韩国队5比3胜日本队进决赛。10月9日晚，中国队将和韩国队争夺本届亚青赛的冠军。

in the final, they couldn't even compete with the corean. they have no future, so does chinese football, at least in my lifetime. if you knew the current circumstance of chinese football, you would have to agree.
