我家是NTL仅是宽带的合同

不过今天我没事插电视卡上 发现也能收几十个台

还有XXX的台不过走型只能看清楚动作 呵呵~

记得以前有位朋友 在这里研究NTL上网看电视两不误的问题
不晓得研究出来没

我还没试过两个一起 行不行。

看电视还有个问题就是他有规律的跳台,这台跳那台 那台跳这台
呵呵 估计NTL电视机顶盒主要的作用就是这个 呵呵

我问过NTL的工程师,他们说NTL的CABLE即使仅开放宽带服务也是可以看模拟信号的电视节目的,取决于电视机的接收能力。我的电视只能看4个免费台不过特别清楚,甚至没开通网络时就能看电视了。那个工程师还送了我一个分插,一边接电视一边接CABLE MODEM,而且还送了一个RF插头这样才能接电视,真是好人。 biggrin.gif

是如果你装NTL有线的话能看到的三四十个台
现在我都能看到~

flywhc 说的对。NTL虽然电视数字化了,但是绝大多数地区仍然继续传送模拟信号(据NTL)。通常5个免费频道可以免费收看。其他的都是加密的。不过,NTL可不是活雷锋,他们的cable是没有一点FreeView的信号的。如果要收看FreeView,需要室外天线。如果你的地区离发射台近的话,带放大器的室内天线也能收到部分或全部信号。

我以前就用一个3分配,即一进三出。一个输出到cable modem, 一个给电视机,一个给我的电视卡。当然了,电视机只能看5个频道,电视卡可以看所有的,嘻嘻。

不过现在我改邪归正了smile.gif用Netgem的i-Player看FreeView频道了(通过电视卡输入到计算机上)

NTL's service = nightmare, I won't recommend it!

Below is the complaint letter I wrote to NTL back this Sep. I moved flat in this Sep after I wrote this letter, and then I tried to move the service to the new flat. Before the moving, I checked availability online, I informed NTL, all seemed ok. Untill days after the move took place, I didn't hear anything at all from NTL, I really run out of my patience, then I rang them up again, went through all the answer machine rubbish, finally this lady on the other end of the line told me calmly that they don't service the area of my new flat. OCH!!! The new flat is only less than half mile away from where I was moving from, and I did check availability and inform them, there wasn't any problem until that moment! However, this wasn't the end, the most striking episode rolled out when this NTL service lady kindly told me that I have to pay NTL one more month although they won't service my new flat, because they need one month notice to end the contract. Wow, wonderful, isn't it?!! She even told me they won't shut the line at my old flat, I can still use them for a month. Oh my god, that's very kind of NTL, they do consider for the customers! Why she didn't suggest me not to move flat...
That was a good whinge!

I'd like to file a complaint about your sales team.

Over two weeks ago, I called your sales line on 0800 1830123 for adding Tel package and possibly a TV package as well. A sales lady over the line went through my details with me and told me that NTL was doing a special offer, which was:- Tel package (talk unlimited 24) + Family package for 25 pounds per month. I thought that was a good deal, so ordered that straight away. She told me that I need to wait for their call for the installation dates, I should get a call from them for the Telephone installation date on the same day and should hear from their again within 2 weeks for the TV installation date. But I didn't hear from NTL on that day for Telephone installation. So I rang up the next day, then someone on the line told me that I need to wait for their call within 2 weeks for both telephone and TV installation dates.

Now two weeks passed, I heard nothing, I can't wait any more. So I phoned up just now. But what happened on the phone was absolutely unbelievable and absurd. I was told by someone who's a senior in your Luton office that I haven't actually got anything booked on my account, he said he can book me in for a telephone talk unlimited 24 + Basic TV package for 25 pounds/month rather than the family TV package, and I would get a installation date today. But that's not what I've ordered and I want at least an explanation and possibly compensation for the time wasted and frustration. So I asked for an explanation. He said he would get someone from the sales team to give me a ring, he took my mobile number.

I got a call from a lady from NTL in the next 10 minute, she told me the same story, she said she doesn't know there was an such an offer (Tel package - talk unlimited 24 + Family package). She said she booked that Telephone talk unlimited 24 + Basic TV for 25 pounds/month for me. But again, that's not what I've ordered. I tried to explain to her what happened to my order and I want an explanation rather than a downgraded package for the same cost, but she wasn't patient enough to let me finish, she hung up the phone before I finished my conversation and no agreement or arrangement reached!

Now it seems calling NTL doesn't solve the problem, hence I resort to this alternative to make a complaint. Please rectify the fault and give an appropriate explanation. If I don't get what I booked in the first place, I wouldn't trust NTL any more, I wouldn't recommend your service to any of my friend, and I would find myself other service provider includes broadband Internet, which I'm using yours now.

its a very easy DIY Job

you need

1, 4 x F connector

some cable(prefer satellite cable)
and some tape.

all the above stuff you can find from B&Q or maplin.
