据英当地警方和媒体报道，7月7日早上9时许，英国伦敦多处地铁和公交汽车发生爆炸，不少人伤亡。英首相布莱尔发表电视讲话，认为是恐怖暴力袭击。
使馆得到消息后，即启动了应急机制，向英外交部、警方和警务情报机构了解涉中国公民伤亡情况。英方告，迄无有关中国公民伤亡等情况。使馆将继续密切跟踪了解情况。
