今天前往RBS(Royal Bank Of Scotland)去申请business account，被拒，因为我持有的是学生签证。另外最近一直考虑自己购买房屋。所以，在这里请教各位前辈几个问题：
1、弱弱的问，是应当先开公司再申请business account，还是反之？
2、持学生签证能否开办公司？需要什么样的材料？有什么样的限制？
3、如果能开公司的话，我是同朋友合开公司，各占50%股份，应当开办什么样的公司？
4、申请business account对于学生来说是否可以成功？需要什么样的材料？
5、购买房屋的话，学生可否进行按揭购买？需要什么样的材料？办理这方面事情的流程如何？

business acount can be open for sole trader, so no need to register company first. but if you intend to trade as a compnay, you need to register company first, becoz the bank will ask for company documents

2、持学生签证能否开办公司？需要什么样的材料？有什么样的限制？
although company house do not restrict Student registering company, home office do restrict student engaging in business. It is stated specifically in the immigration rules:

(57.v) does not intend to engage in business or to take employment, except part time or vacation work undertaken with the consent of the Secretary of State for Employment;

also, if you need to renew student visa, you are require to demonstrate their intention to return 'home' at the end of their studies.

However, as home office seldom confer with company house, as long as you don't submit the info voluntarily, you will be able to do it. But in the strict sense of the law, it is NOT allow.

I guess if you can demonstrate you are NOT fully engage in the business, for eg, you only own share and do not work in the company or take part in to day-to-day running of the company, ie: you are a non-exceutive director, you might be ok. It is better to have a uk national to be a executive director if you intend to trade.

To open company, best to buy it from an agent. pay about 100GBP should get you all the necessary paper work. to register, all you need is to make sure the company name is OK, ie no other company is trading under the same name etc. you don't even have to show any ID. You would need a valid UK address as your register office. but that can be your home address.

just open a standard company

It is very hard even for local resident these day. mainly becoz of the ID and credit check. but try different bank if you get rejected by one.

5、购买房屋的话，学生可否进行按揭购买？需要什么样的材料？办理这方面事情的流程如何？
It is legally possible, but depend if the bank like your credit history and approve ur application.

students visa holders can incorporate companies in the UK. But cannot manage them.

A company is needed in advanced so as to open a business account.

Students cannot get morgage for housing in the UK.

Two ways to become legal to operate a company in the UK: investing 25w pounds; or become HSMP/WP holder.

can incorporate companies in the UK 是指能自己出资或者几个拥有学生VISA的人一起合资, 还是指必须和一个英国身份持有者(英国人或者HSMP/WP)合资呢?
不能管理是不是指必须雇佣另外一个英国身份持有者(英国人或者HSMP/WP)进行日常管理,那我能否进行私下的管理呢?我对公司的决策拥有决定权么?

set up a company in the UK is simple. But, once it has been incorporated, problems might come out if you are student visa holders.

In a word, generally if no a UK resident / HSMP / WP or a legal status which allow you to work in the UK full-timely, or without 25w pound investment, my suggestion is not setting up a company.
