I've broken my record by driving 1777 miles in 5 days.
Day 1. London - Plymouth - London
Day 2. London - Oxford - Biecester - London
Day 3. London - Cambridge - Bristol - Cardiff - London
Day 4. London - Lake District - Preston
Day 5. Preston - London
Can anyone beat that?
aye, semi-pro tour guide...
maybe interpreter, shopping escort, treasury as well.
Why (shopping at) Biecester, any good?
I bet you would want to get back to London if it wasn’t too late at Preston?
Be careful young man, I got blood and tear lesson of this sort of rally tour.

楼主牛人.我的记录是一天内跑250mile,连续开5个小时.和楼主没法比.
不是我,是我LG,但我陪着
DAY 1: GLASGOW-EDINBURGER-LAKE DISTRICT
DAY 2: LAKE DISTRICT-CAMBRIDGE-LONDON
DAY 3: LONDON-BATH-LONDON
DAY 4: LONDON-STRAT-FORD-LONDON
DAY 5:LONDON-NEWCASTLE-GLASGOW

my uncle did 690 mile in one day...
Assuming that you drove 60 miles per hour on average. You have just spent 29.5 hours on the road (1770 / 60 = 29.5 hours. ), that’s more than a whole day.

You will get piles if you keep doing it. Anyway, hope someone gave you a good massage afterwards.

Yeah, the trip was to entertain some clients and to show them the sites. At the time, it was some pretty hard work, the trip to Plymouth along was over 500 miles and took 7.5 hours there and back, there are some fun part though.
I am pretty glad that we hired out a Mercedes E270 CDI for the trip, travelling in comfort and style, cruise control, automatic and manual gear change, GPS, DVD player and all the gadget you can get for a car. The 2.7 litre diesel injection engine shifts a bit, a couple of times on the motorway, some rude-boy boy-racer with their super-ed up Japanese motor with a big exhaust picking on us for a race, a few nudges on the cruise control lever, leaving them in my dust.
The most fun was to drive on the narrow winey roads in the hills of the Lake District. Put the car in automatic and button down the sports mode, not really aggressive on the gas, but it feels like flying when you going up a hill and suddenly going down again with a sharp turn. Who needs roller-coasters when you have a big engine, the state of art traction control system and the powerful breaks. Whack in a favourite CD, volume up, anyone can simply enjoy the BOSE speakers and the entire in-car entertainment system.
I would not trust the GPS though, the little voice of the GPS navigator started out being sexy and helpful gadget to play with, after a while, the robotic-bitch started to tell blatant lies, eventually I lost the faith with her and shut her in the little black box and never let her out again.
FYI, to hire one of those babies out, all you need is 150 bucks a day, over the age of 30 and with a full clean drivers licence.
p.s. JPFan, you sounded surprised that the ladies were very impressed with my dirty English humour, well, let them be, I never complain about my fans.
did I?

guess I am not good at story-telling then
