完整版本: MOT过期了被逮住了,这圣诞不能开心过咯!
因为一个违章,被警察叫停,出示了驾照(UK),保险和MOT没带身上,警察开了张条,7天之内去警察局出示保险MOT,这下惨了,保险没问题,MOT过期了,该怎么办?这个圣诞不好过了.7天之内马上做好MOT的话上面显示的日期不是警察叫停之前.没MOT英国怎么处置啊,会不会扣分呢?知情的朋友帮忙出个主意,万分感谢!同时祝大家圣诞快乐,新年进步!
和做MOT的人商量一下，应该有机会的。
it might not be easy now. as now the MOT is computerised and each service station is connected with the central database of DVLA. once the MOT is done, it is already in the database with date issued and date of expiry...talk to the MOT stataton and see if possible to modify...it can be a big risk for the service station...
really? never know that... it will be a bad news for LZ.
倒是可以考虑出示一个被抓那天做mot的appointment证明
就说当时是去做mot的
但是种种原因吧(看你怎么编),那天没做成
所以改到X月X日,就是你实际做mot的那天

Yes, the new MOT certificate is computer generated now. once you have done the MOT, there is a sticker on the print which can be attached to the windscreen. at the back of the sticker, there is your ref no, date of expiry and date of test etc.

我今年给两个车做过MOT，一个是新形式的计算机化的证书，一个还是常规的。据说MOT计算机中心数据库现在是开始，没有全部实行。
LZ如果是MOT过期几天，或者1-2个星期的话，现在马上做，尽管日期差点，但编个理由什么的也许就拉倒了，我就不信警察那么不近人情。但是如果都过期半年以上的话，任何人都相信你是有意的，被处罚的可能性就大多了。
MOT过期的过失比起无驾照无保险轻些，不必太担心。去年初我认识的一个人，MOT过期两个月，没有被处罚。
赶快去办一个，问题不算太严重。

今天马上预约了，28号就可以做MOT了，如果能做出来，1月4号之前呈上，估计问题不大，警察开的这条上写的是"within 7 clear days "是7个完整工作日的意思吧，应该不包括25，26，27，圣诞假期，和1月1号，2号新年假期吧？谢谢大家的帮忙，心里踏实多了。

递交文件可以在7天之内，但是法律上需要是你当时被警察抓时有MOT，事后再开出其实不算的。关键是你过期多久？
