车子mot 快 到期了，听说有的商家故意不让你通过或者比较苛刻的检查你的车子，然后他们可以获取利润，不知道前辈们有什么好的建议？ 或者有什么好的garage 推荐？

到黄页上找找， 有一些车行， 只做mot监测， 没有维修服务， 检测费比一般贵10-15磅左右， 由于自己没有维修部分， 故意找毛病的可能性小多了。
我去年就是在我附近的类似车行做的mot， 也查出毛病了， 到别的车行修的， 重检免费。

better to stay on site while the mot or repair is conducted. as the cost includes material and labour, some garages can charge you more by extending the labour duration which is not actually that long.
