The speaker has been teaching in UK and Chinese universities for many years. Currently he is lecturer of Heriot-Watt University and mentor of many Chinese students.
In the past 6 years, Dr Fan Wang has been increasingly encountering the issue of "plagiarism"- or 'copying' as is commonly called, which has
been identified as one of the major causes for module failure among his
chinese mentees.
This 1.5-hour talk is intended to help Chinese students new to UK universities to realise how serious the problem is, and how to avoid it. Some typical examples of vary natures will be given and simple skills to avoiding the offense will be discussed.

This is talk is give at 7:30pm 5/11 Friday after the normal program starting at 7:00 as the normal every Friday Fellowship program. You are welcome to join at anytime before it finishes at 9:00pm.
